With this update, Minecraft players will find new ways to challenge themselves and take their adventures to the next level. Team up or go solo and discover decorative blocks, hostile mobs, items, weapons, paintings, and the trial chambers — a sprawling structure stuffed with traps and treasure for every player. Creep through copper corridors, harness auto-crafting, triumph over waves of hostile mobs, leap using the wind charge, build with new blocks and dodge the bogged to earn exciting rewards.
Activating a trial spawner reveals a vault within the chamber that contains a variety of loot items, including the chance to unlock the much harder Ominous Trial. This advanced challenge is accessed by drinking an Ominous Bottle, which drops from raid captains and can also be found in the Trial Chambers.
Each chamber has a unique setup that spawns a small group of hostile mobs (breeze, silverfish, skeleton, baby zombie, husk, cave spider, or slime). The challenge scales depending on the biome, with stray and bogged mobs providing little difficulty while the breeze’s nimble movement and wind-based attacks can easily overpower lower-level players.
Adding to the challenge is a mace, a powerful new weapon dropped by the breeze that can smash enemies at range or while falling. This can be crafted using the breeze rod (dropped by the breeze) and a heavy core, a new item found in ominous vaults.
